What is RÓA™?

RÓA™ (pronounced row-uh) is Icelandic for calm.
We’ve always been inspired by the idea of creating something that brings a
little calm and pleasure into everyday life — that quiet, contented moment when
you can finally unwind with a good book, a warm drink, or a sweet treat at the
end of the day. 

Founded in Singapore and now proudly available in Australia, RÓA™ is
about simple joy, thoughtful ingredients, and better-for-you indulgence. Our
products are made for people who love great food but care about what goes into
it — crafted with mindfulness, inclusivity, and a touch of everyday luxury. 

The Story of Midnight™

The Midnight™ Cake began as a passion project by our Chief Artisan, Jane Tan. She wanted to create
something her god-daughter, Emma, could finally enjoy — a beautiful, rich
chocolate cake free from the allergens that often made celebrations difficult. 

Emma was allergic
to eggs, dairy,
and peanuts, and intolerant to gluten from a young
age. Finding a safe, delicious cake for her birthday each year was
always a challenge — until Jane decided to change that. 

After months of experimenting with quality plant-based
ingredients — including psyllium husk
and low GI raw sugar from Australia — the Midnight™ Cake was born. A
decadent, dark chocolate sponge that was completely free of the top allergens
yet full of flavour and joy. 

That moment — seeing children and adults like Emma enjoy
dessert without worry — became the heart of RÓA™.
